An important part of preparing you to come to Centre is to help you choose courses for your Fall Term. While at Centre you will choose courses that provide both the breadth of experience (provided by the general education curriculum) and depth of study (gained through completion of a major) that is a hallmark of a Liberal Arts education.
Two components of Centre’s General Education curriculum requires:
- A college-level math course to develop quantitative literacy and problem-solving skills.
- At least one college-level course in a second language to build language and cross-cultural communication skills.
Proper placement in math and a second language helps assure students that you will not be placed in a course 这是 either too advanced or repetitious of previous work.
